What Does Business Really Mean To You?

To really understand the meaning of the word business all we have to do is take a look around. Forget all the "dictionary" definitions of the word (which by the way there are many), just take a look around!
The monitor you're looking at to read this was bought from someone for a profit. That's it, that's business. To buy and sell goods for a profit.
Your needs and wants are all provided to you in business.
People don't usually think about the process of how business is done.
People just subconsciously buy what they NEED, yet on the other hand are totally aware of the stuff they WANT. It is like a big circle that goes round and round. You buy goods/services from a retailer, that retailer buys from a wholesaler, that wholesaler buys from a manufacturer which by the way you probably work for.
So the next time you take a stroll in a mall think about the process...the way in which the world turns...BUSINESS.
A simple example would be, You get your paycheck from your employer at the end of the week/month and you go out and start doing some shopping to get what you NEED.
When you walk into a supermarket you expect to get what you NEED like Cheerios, milk, bread, butter, tea, coffee and more. You walk around the aisles subconsciously filling your cart with the basic necessities that you need to survive.
Now let me ask you this...Do you think about the cost and practice to produce such items? The insane amount of time it took a whole team of highly educated, well informed human beings to come up with that "fat-free" mayonnaise? No of course not but you do consider the price of such item don't you?
When you walk around an electronics store, gazing at that beautiful 60 inch Sony 3D TV one of the things you look at is the price...am I right?
Now do you stand there and calculate the production cost of this TV unit and base your decision on the profit margin the manufacturer issued? Of course not! You stand there and base your decision on thinking about how good it would look hanging on your wall in your living room!
Then you buy it.
You give your money to the teller from the store which then the people at that company use to pay themselves a salary and purchase more goods from the wholesaler then the wholesaler has money to pay himself a salary and purchase more goods from the manufacturer.
You guessed it...then the manufacturer has money to pay himself a salary and think up of more goods to sell...and the process repeats itself over and over. Without understanding economics it's really easy to understand basic business.
Think about what you do for a job...where ever you work, think about how the "circle" works. Let's say that you work for McDonald's.
You have to rely on customer's buying food from you to pay your salary, if there are no customer's there are no profits, if there are no profits there are no salaries hence you will probably be out of a job very soon...so I'd think twice about spitting in that cheeseburger.
So the basic principal of business is to buy and sell goods/services for a profit, therefore continuing that circle which creates more goods/services, jobs and more profit. It's really simple if you think about it.
Now of course there are thousands of types of ways that business works but they all follow the same circle pattern. You make money, you spend money, make more money and spend more.
The next time you get that paycheck think about where it came from and how you will contribute to the world of business.

Building Online Business Connections

To build an online business connection is usually much harder than building a business connection in person but it doesn't have to be that way.
If you think about the first time you meet someone in person there are a lot of things you find out about them.
Here are just a few examples of those:
Do they seem outgoing and enthusiastic?
Obviously if they say only a handful of words and you don't sense the energy in their voice then the probably don't have these qualities.
Do they present themselves well and have nice clothes on?
So if they come to meet you in their sweat pants with holes in them and it looks like the wore a cap to cover up their hair that hasn't been washed or combed in a while your would probably think of them as a slob.
When you ask them questions do you feel like they gave you a straight answer and are willing to help you?
Or when you ask them a question to they skate around the answer and never get to the answer if this the case you may feel like they are in it for themselves and they don't much care about you.
These are just a few examples of how you might view someone after you speak with them face to face so all in all you can get a pretty good feeling of who this person is.
Then comes the building of an online business connection where your reading someones blog posts, articles, emails, finding them on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube it can be harder to really figure out who this person is.
But wait!
Then you have a chance to meet them in person at alive event and after reading about them and studying from them for some time you meet face to face.
So prior to this meeting you have and idea in your mind how the first meeting will go because you feel like you know them.
But it's not what you expected at all!
After talking with the person for a few minutes you don't feel like this is the person who has been behind the articles, blog post and emails.
Right there a sense of trust is lost and possibly any future online business connections.
The person online was trying to be someone they were not and it was very evident once the face was put with the name.
While it is important to read and study what other are doing if you try to follow their every move it will come back to bite you.
The easiest way to build online business connections is to be genuine by just being yourself people will relate to you and in turn you will build that connection quicker.
The best thing to do when writing is write exactly how you speak and don't try to impress people by using big words if that is not how you speak.
When creating video make it real for your audience take the video in your office, home or outdoors.
Don't go to a professional studio in your best dressed with makeup on if that's not who you are.
With so many people skeptical of online business it will take work to build the connection but don't ever overlook the easiest way for you build that relationship and that is to BE YOURSELF!
While you may think that because your online you can create a model of someone you are not, but I can guarantee that you will be sniffed out and you will lose your online business connections faster than you can say gone.

Online Freelancing - Earning Money on The Internet

Making money is really an important thing to an individual. Of course, how will you eat and live without money? We work to support our loved ones and even ourselves. But in today's world, sometimes one job is not enough. With the high cost of living today, it is not surprising that many people have more than one job to earn money. Sadly, some even go as low as to do illegal things just to have lots of money.
However, with today's technology, there are lots of new ways to earn money that are presented to us. Now, people can now work in the comfort of their own home through the internet. Blogging is one way to earn money. You can write about things that you like, promote them, and get paid through affiliate links. But because only those who are good in writing are the ones who have a chance to be successful in blogging, how about the others? Luckily, there are new methods of working online that suits many kinds of occupation.
Being a freelancer online is one of the new ways to earn money online. There are many sites that you can find online jobs. These sites offer many kinds of jobs, like programming, designing, and many more. Membership for these kind of sites are usually for free, so why pass up something so good? Generally, you can get a job at these sites by "bidding", which means that you propose to the one giving the work how much he or she should pay you for doing the job. Of course, it also helps if you have an impressive profile and portfolio to show, especially if you are new to the site. The employer then sees your bid and if they are interested in you, they may contact you for an interview. Impress them more, and you may land your first online job on a freelance site.
A bit of wisdom though, these sites are not "get-rich-instantly" methods of earning. These could be the biggest misconceptions that my friends have when I tell them that I have an online work and work as a freelancer online. Like the usual job hunting, you need to bid or apply to many jobs that you can, especially in your first try. You should also show impressive portfolio of your previous work, which helps a lot if you have not yet established a good reputation on these sites.
Persevere, work hard, and build a good reputation on these sites, and you will be earning money before you know it.
